DRINKING QUEST GAMES ARE PRINTED BABY!
7 months ago – Wed, May 01, 2024 at 10:00:20 AM

Hello Questers!

The games are printed and on their way to the Jason Anarchy Games office (my basement) in Ontario, Canada!

You can track the actual container ship the games are travelling on here if you'd like, the games are sailing aboard the MSC Agamemmon:

You can track Kickstarter shipments like this one at Vesselfinder.com

The estimated in-hand date I was given was May 17th. If everything's on time, it would take us a week to ship these to backers from there.

But there are often a few snags along the way (sometimes with customs, sometimes taking a few days to actually have a truck deliver them once they're in the province) so the estimated shipping time to backers will officially be LATE MAY, EARLY JUNE.

We'll also be at ANIME NORTH and we could also give out games directly there.

If you haven't filled out your BACKERKIT survey, please do that by logging in using the email you use for Kickstarter. You can also change or update your information as well as add on additional games for a discount.

Here are a few more pictures of my first early copy received to BUILD THE HYPE!

The other early copy we had was to a buyer at [HUGE DISTRIBUTION COMPANY] and he said he played it with his friends this past weekend and "LOVED IT"!

I think you'll love it too, thanks again for backing and I'm really excited to get this bonkers game out into the world!

Quick Update
9 months ago – Thu, Feb 15, 2024 at 07:01:58 AM

Hello Questers!

I had a few nudges for an update so here we go:

The game is being printed right now but because of Chinese New Year, it's on a break. This isn't a concern though, this was always worked into the schedule. We're still on track for May shipping.

I haven't posted a picture of the sleeves yet for the deluxe edition backers so here we go:

This picture shows how the titles on the back of the cards fit into the windowed sleeves.

Sleeves have been requested multiple times over the years and it's taken me forever to finally put these into motion. Even though I'm personally fine with a few beer stains on cards (they add character!) it's understandable that many of you want to protect your cards from sloppy beer spills.

And if you haven't filled out your BACKERKIT survey or need to update it, you can do that here. Log in using the same email you use for Kickstarter.

And if you're looking for more comedy-fantasy stuff, I have a separate Kickstarter going right now for the RIDICULOUS LOOT DECK

No pressure to back this, I'm always working on multiple projects and sometimes everything seems to be happening at once. Basically I'm a believer in making DnD as funny as possible and this will help prompt players to get creative and deliver more of those big comedic moments. Click here if you want to check it out!

Thank you and please comment with any questions!

Sample Game Unboxing!
11 months ago – Thu, Jan 04, 2024 at 10:42:54 AM

Hey Questers!

We got a sample from the manufacturer before mass production begins and I just wanted to show you an unboxing!

First of all, the box looks great!
Open the box and there's a rulebook!
And then a pad of double sided character sheets!
And then the shop card which is made of a really thick punch board.
Underneath all that, we have the cards, dice, mead meeple and a nice custom insert.
The Dice and Mead Meeple!
If you flip the Mead Meeple, it goes from ANGRY to VERY ANGRY
The cards are linen finished and a better than average card stock.
Here's a random card showing the mead meeple going after the meeples from Root
These are the six quest decks!
Here are the Hero, Signature Drink and Annoying Sidekick cards!
New character "Chilena" holding some frosty pints on the backs of the signature drink cards

The next update, I'll do more of a feature on the game's extras!

What does everyone think of these pictures? Please sound off in the comments.

And if you haven't filled out your Backerkit survey, please do so here, logging in using the same email you use for Kickstarter.

Mass production looks to be starting within the next two weeks.

Thank you all!

Belch of the Wild Print and Play + Dice + All Cards Preview + Backerkit Reminder
12 months ago – Fri, Nov 24, 2023 at 12:43:22 PM

Hello Questers!

Here is the link to the Belch of the Wild Print and Play.

This is great for just checking out the funny cards and components or to actually print and play for you crafty-types.

Even though we've gone over these files a thousand times, if you do notice an error, please message me here on Kickstarter. There will still be a chance to change it before we get the physical proof from the manufacturer.

Also, just a reminder to please fill out your Backerkit Survey if you haven't already. We'll need your mailing info to send you your game. You can log in using the same email you use for Kickstarter.

Also, we settled on what the dice will look like. Rather than a solid speckled look, we ended up with this translucent blue which kind of has a starry / bubbly effect:

And as we were going back and forth with the proofs, we ended up with this file which shows EVERY CARD IN THE GAME:

This is meant to be kind of neat to look at, not high resolution enough to really zoom it.

Drinking Quest: Belch of the Wild will be an absolutely bonkers game, thanks for backing everyone and Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends!

Backerkit Surveys Sent!
about 1 year ago – Mon, Oct 23, 2023 at 08:33:58 AM

Jason "Anarchy" here!

Everyone should have a Backerkit survey in their inbox (the same email you use on a Kickstarter). This is just the shipping survey where we collect your mailing address. We will need this to send your physical rewards.

You can also optionally add extra games that I've designed, extra character sheets or the second printing of Guzzle Buddies (which lets you modify any existing Drinking Quest game).

We've had some questions with what is new in the second printing of Guzzle Buddies vs the first printing. Originally it was planned to be a straight reprint with some new cards but here is the total list of differences:

  • Most of the original cards have been redrawn by the original artist
  • Rebalancing of many card stats
  • 8 new Guzzle Buddies which were unlocked as a stretch goal
  • Redesigned Card Frames
  • Larger Cards (Standard Poker Size rather than Standard Bridge Size)

One of the new Guzzle Buddies is the HANGOVER PHOENIX who revives  you with fast food the next morning when you're having a hangover.

Otherwise, things are on schedule and I'm looking forward to getting everyone a great game that OVER DELIVERS from what you see on the Kickstarter page!
